Peter Meadows is an agricultural scientist who has specialised in urban pest management since 1963.  He worked for both Rentokil and Flick in senior technical positions until 1995, when he formed his own consultancy business.

He has been involved in the Australian Pest Management Industry in many roles over those years and has represented his industry at local, national and international levels.

He is a recognised expert in a range of pest management matters and has particular expertise in timber pests, especially termites.  He is sought after to provide expert technical opinions and evidence in court on issues involving claims for termite damage and  pesticide contamination and has built up a considerable reputation in this area.

As a qualified trainer and assessor he has been responsible for developing a range of training resources for use by the pest management industry.  He is a recognised world expert on quarantine fumigation practices and for many years has been delivering training to fumigators and governments throughout Asia and India and other parts of the world.

He has been involved with AQIS in the Australian Fumigation Accreditation Scheme (AFAS) since 1999 and is the most experienced consultant employed by AQIS on this project, which is vital to Australia's border protection.  Together with Dorothy, he has been responsible for the training and assessment of over 1000 fumigators and quarantine officers in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, China, UAE, Sri Lanka, Singapore, PNG, New Caledonia, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.

Dorothy Meadows is a teacher with thirty years of teaching experience with the NSW Department of School Education and has taught Technological and Applied Studies subjects at secondary school level.  She has also gained a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, the basic qualification for workplace competency assessment in Australia.

She joined Peter Meadows Consulting in 2003 and since then has been responsible for designing and developing training courses and training resources for a wide range of pest management activites.  She has been deeply involved in developing and organising the training courses under the AFAS project for quarantine fumigation throughout Australia, Asia and India.  She also takes an active part in running the courses and workshops involved in fumigation practices and in the assessment of both fumigators and quarantine officers for accreditation qualification  .
